At Oakes Writing Consultants, we believe that most of our clients can learn the basics of getting traffic to their sites if only someone were willing to teach them.  Hence, consulting, which really means teaching, is the core of our business.

We believe that although not everyone has the gift for writing, everyone can contribute in some way to their own website.  After all, most start a website based around what they already know, do, or love and who could be more qualified to write about such subjects.

We also believe that Good Written content requires only three elements:

  1. Passion or knowledge for/of the subject
  2. Writing “as you speak”
  3. Willingness to learn
In other words, if your web site is about something you are passionate or knowledgeable about, you are in a great position to tell about it.  If you simply write as you speak, the words will flow and others will see your passion or knowledge for the subject…this will keep their attention.   If you would like to learn how to hone and improve your writing skills, we can teach you.  In addition, if you would prefer to have us edit what you write, we can be your web content editor as well.  Finally, if you would like to learn how to write for search engines as well, no problem–the principles of SEO are really very simple.

For this reason, we offer site consulting via Skype and Webponder or if you live in the Lubbock, Texas area, consultations in person.

In addition, we will begin a nationwide tour soon to conduct live seminars in all areas of the nation.

Of course, if you simply do not have the time to provide content or for any reason would still prefer that we write for you, we are more than happy to oblige.  Simply visit the Content Options section and take a look at the different kinds of content we provide.  If there is something you don’t see, just ask…we also provide custom content.

In addition, we provide training on how to make your web site more credible, or optimized for the search engines and can provide the content necessary to help you in this.

Finally, building networks of links is a vital part of your overall web site building strategy.  For this reason, we also offer several options to help you in this or can teach you how.

At Oakes Writing Consultants, we believe in a better web and we believe you have what it takes to build a better web site.  We also believe that you can learn, for we know we can teach you.  We believe this is the best approach, but also understand that this is not always practical, so we also provide whatever it takes to help your web site be a success.
