Have a book you want published? Join the Revolution!

There is a revolution taking place…a revolution in book publishing.  Where once the book publishing industry was dominated by large

publishing firms that required an author to submit a query, then submit a manuscript, then submit to weeks and months of torture while they supposedly read it, there now is e-publishing.  E-publishing has in a mere three years completely outstripped traditional publishing and it is not slowing at all.

I have recently branched out into publishing books for others.  This came after a friend asked me to publish a book for him, which is doing quite well.  When I first began looking into self-publishing, I was lost.  If you have been down this road or are on it now, you know what I mean.  In any case, I searched the Internet for publishers and self-publication platforms but it seemed like the more I searched, the more confused I became.

How I Managed Two Best-Sellers

Many friends asked me how I was able to publish my own books and actually make money from them (I currently have two best-sellers).   The long and short of it was that

1) I put in long hours learning the mechanics of online book publishing and

2) I put my 20 years of experience in sales and marketing (both off and online) to use.

In short, I am doing what needs to be done.

The big thing I noticed when I was first trying to get published was that there were literally tons of companies who would publish my books for ONLY $299, $499, or $599, with absolutely NO marketing support.  In other words, they would gladly print and “publish” my book for the price of an entire library.  But the reality is that these companies are NOT, let me emphasize that again, NOT publishers.  They are only book creators, printers, making money from the vanity of others.

The other thing I noticed was that after learning HOW to self-publish, I then had to self-market.  This understandably took time away from writing more books, which I love.

So when I decided I was going into the publishing business, I decided to merge the best of both worlds.

Winning a Revolution Requires Revolutionary Action

Just like traditional publishers do not charge authors for the privilege of selling their books, I do not charge.  And in harmony with the book publishing revolution that is taking place today, I am willing to publish ANYONE.  Am I crazy?

Perhaps.

But I believe that everyone has at least one good story in them and who am I to decide who gets to hear that story?  Indeed, if that story is not told, no one will hear it and to me, that is the same as censorship.

Now, understand that I am operating a small company, just now getting under way.  I am limited in my time and resources at this point.  So although I will publish your book, I may be limited in my ability at this point to market.  So here is my solution.

I have set up a section of this website for my authors and anyone interested in learning how to market their books.  I will do some marketing of your book because let’s face facts, if you aren’t making money from your book, neither am I.  But as an author, there are simple things that you can do to promote your book as well.

Eventually, I plan on putting a forum on this site so that all my authors can interact with each other and their fans.  This will create a synergy that is going to take this book publishing revolution to the next level.

I Will Publish ANYONE for FREE

If you have a book you would like to have published, I would be delighted to help.  Either write to me at cjeffoakes@gmail.com or leave a comment to this blog.  If you write to my email, feel free to send me a small excerpt.  (I like to be teased). I will then send you a contract and if you are agreeable to the terms (remember, I don’t charge you), I will represent you.

So again, you must be thinking I am crazy, right?

No.  This really is a book publishing revolution and I simply want to lead the way.  Any revolution requires people working together to accomplish great things and I believe that we can do just that.
